About Us

I started this blog as a means of relating my past experiences and observation on life after 60. I retired at 54 due to illness, so I’ve had plenty of time on my hands to think about things. I started out trying to have mainly a picture blog, but soon ran out of sources! Recently, I have been experimenting with different operating system, such as Linux, so I have done some reviews and made some observation about them, as well as other computer/technical subjects. I’m sure you won’t agree with everything I say, but feel free to leave a comment. All comments are moderated, so if I don’t like it, it won’t appear anyway! I also added a Free Downloads page with mostly wallpaper packs at this time, but I hope to add some Linux ISOes as well and anything else that’s free to re-distribute. For the latest posts, just click on the Blog page in the menu. To use the Download page you have to be a registered subscriber so I can send you the passwords, so my privacy statement is at the bottom of this page. I moved from Michigan to Florida in 1989. I figured I could wipe the sweat from my brow easier than I could shovel snow in the winter! I now live in Bradenton, Florida, about 50 miles south of Tampa.
